A series seemingly confirmed as within India Women’s grasp is up for grabs once more, with it confirmed that they will play an additional T20I against South Africa Women on Thursday, 3 November.
India had taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the five-match series with one game to play, but with two games washed out by rain, the decision was made to play an extra game to make up for the lost playing time, though no reserve days were originally planned.
The additional match will also take place at Surat, which has witnessed boisterous support throughout, and if South Africa win both that and the final T20I, they will share the series spoils.
