The Australia Women’s team welcomed a group of 22 girls supported by the WASH United for a special interactive session at the Sylhet District Stadium on Monday (March 24).

WASH United, the social responsibility partner of the ICC World Twenty20 2014, shines a spotlight on menstruation, a topic that is still a taboo in most societies worldwide.

During the session, the Australian players and girls played  together "knocking down the menstruation myths" and a few other easy and fun cricket games. The Australia team memebers were very active and despite the language barrier, had good laughs with the girls.

"I am happy that cricket can bring together women and girls from all nations, and help to talk about an issue that is usually neglected, in a fun and interactive manner," said Ebony-Jewel Rainfort-Brent, former England Women’s Player and WASH United goodwill Ambassador during the clinic. "Because  menstruation matters to all of us".

Ebony was present at the interactive session guiding and encouraging girls with the cricket and knockout game.
