Established in 2004, the Rangiora Oval is one of the most popular cricket grounds in New Zealand.
Home to the Canterbury Cricket Association, the ground staged its maiden first-class match when Canterbury took on Central Districts in the 2003-04 State Championship.
Yet to make its international debut, the ground has hosted 29 first-class and 24 List A matches. Two quarter-final matches of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup were also held here in 2010. Seven matches of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier were held at this venue in 2014.
Located a 30-minute drive north of Christchurch, the Rangiora Oval has also been used a home venue for Canterbury Women in the State League since the 2006-07 season and will host three matches at the 2018 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup.
