The rising Indian star was asked to hold a baby while watching South Africa's clash with West Indies.
Prithvi Shaw’s skill and style often draws comparisons with Sachin Tendulkar, and now he’s got a taste of the hero worship the Indian legend experienced too, with a family of spectators at South Africa’s clash with West Indies asking him to hold and pose with their baby.
Prithvi was enjoying some well-earned rest after striking fifties in both of India’s opening wins, but was happy to oblige, and, if his Instagram story is anything to go by, even seemed to enjoy the experience.
If his career does turn out anything like Tendulkar’s – and on the evidence so far it’s not a stretch to believe it might – this is unlikely to be the last such request Shaw receives. As with everything else, he’s shown he’s up to the challenge.
