Ankle injury rules Raymond Perez out of the 2018 ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup.
West Indies' Raymond Perez has sustained an ankle injury which has ruled him out of the ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup, with Brad Barnes called up to the squad to replace him.
The ICC Event Technical Committee approved Barnes’ selection after receiving a report from an independent doctor on the extent of Perez’s injury.
The West Indies medical personnel originally advised that Perez sustained a Grade 1 inversion sprain of the left ankle during a fielding session on January 15, 2018, noting his chances of making a return during this tournament were slim.
