The up-and-coming Asian side will take on the Netherlands at the Home of Cricket on Sunday 29 July in the last match of a triple-header also involving the MCC.
Nepal will play their first T20I since 2015 when they take on the Netherlands at Lord’s on Sunday 29 July, the third match in a triple-header also involving an MCC side led by Sri Lankan legend Mahela Jayawardene.
The game was confirmed as being an official T20I after Nepal gained ODI status due to their performance in the Cricket World Cup Qualifier. Their last game in the format came back in 2015 against Papua New Guinea in Malahide in Ireland. Their last T20 victory came against the Netherlands, who may well be scenting revenge.
The match will be played at Lord’s, the scene of surely the greatest-ever Dutch victory, and one of cricket’s biggest shocks, with the boys in orange beating England in a last-ball finish.
The MCC side will not only feature Mahela Jayawardene, a true great of the game with more than 25,000 international runs to his name, but some exciting young Scottish talent, with Dylan Budge, Alasdair Evans, and Mark Watt all set to feature.
Tickets for the day are on sale now, priced at £17 for Adults, £8.50 for Over-65s and £5 for Under-16s. They are available to purchase by clicking here.
