Shivam Mavi, one of the regulars in India's ICC Under-19 World Cup triumph in 2018, added another feather to his cap during a Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Saurashtra.
The pacer, not yet 20, dismissed Chirag Jani, Arpit Vasavada and Jaydev Unadkat off consecutive deliveries to claim a hat-trick in the tournament, India's premier 50-over event, on Wednesday, 19 September.
That went a long way in Mavi ending with 5/73 as Saurashtra, bolstered by Robin Uthappa's 97 and sheldon Jackson's 107, put up 303/9.
Uthappa was dismissed in the 33rd over, and Mavi came into the game in the 41st when he sent back Jackson. He then accounted for Prerak Mankad for a duck in the 48th over before picking up three-in-three in the final over.
Mavi was excellent for India at the World Cup, scalping nine wickets in six games at an average of 18.88.
