Six members of the India Under-19 squad in the Caribbean are in isolation after tests revealed at least one positive Covid-19 case.
According to the BCCI, Sidharth Yadav has returned positive on an RT-PCR Test, while the Rapid-Antigen test results of Yash Dhull, Aaradhya Yadav and SK Rasheed also returned positive.
Manav Parakh and Vasu Vats returned negative results, but are showing symptoms and are isolating.
A BCCI statement said: “The Board is monitoring the situation closely and is in touch with the management and the coaching group.
“The players will remain in isolation but will be under the constant supervision of the BCCI Medical Team.”
All six members were unavailable for selection in India’s Group B clash against Ireland in Tarouba. India won their opening encounter, against South Africa in Providence, by 45 runs.
